Christmas at WDW. What are the must do things for a family from 4 to 57

    Hi Julie,

Christmas is a positively wonderful time of year at Walt Disney World! Throughout the season, the resort is decked out with even more pixie dust than it typically is. I suggest that you take a look at the holiday events at Walt Disney World webpage for a great listing of the many added activities during the winter holidays. Let me share some of my favorites with you.

For me, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is the pinnacle of the winter holidays at Walt Disney World. At this separately ticketed event at Magic Kingdom, you can meet some of your favorite Disney characters decked out in their holiday finest. It even "snows" on Main Street, U.S.A.! My favorite part of this event is the special Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. It is delightful!

Another very special event at Walt Disney World for the winter holidays is the Candlelight Processional at Epcot. This event features a retelling of the Christmas story by a celebrity narrator accompanied by lovely music from a large choir.

Finally, one of my favorite things to do during the winter holidays at Walt Disney World is simply to tour the resort hotels. They are decorated beautifully for the holidays! A wonderful place to do this is to ride the monorail to all of the resorts that it goes to. This will get you to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to see their amazing, huge gingerbread house! Another place I like to do this is around Crescent Lake, which allows you to start on Disney's BoardWalk and enjoy some beautiful resorts.

I hope that these ideas are helpful to get you started on your wonderful holiday vacation planning, Julie!
