    Hi, Suzanne!

Christmastime in Walt Disney World brings even more magic (if you can believe it!) than ever, so it's a great time for a first visit!

Starting around the 1st of November, decorations begin to be installed during the evening hours. Because the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is on November 8th in 2013, Magic Kingdom will surely be dressed in all of her holiday finest by that point. Head to Magic Kingdom, then, for the best early-November chance at witnessing some holiday decor. If you'd like that first visit to include extra-special holiday happenings, consider purchasing a ticket to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. It's breathtaking!

For accommodations, you can't go wrong with any of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. I recently tried Disney's Port Orleans Resort-Riverside, a gorgeous Moderate Resort; during your stay, weeknights in a Standard Room are $176 per night and weekend rates are $191 per night. Over at the fantastic new Disney's Art of Animation Resort, those Standard Room rates are $113 for weeknights and $133 for weekend nights. Both of these resorts are wonderful, Suzanne, so you'll all be thrilled with either choice. However, the dates of your stay fall within a current Fall Special, so check availability of rooms at even better rates by looking at this offer to Save up to 30% at Select Disney Resort Hotels This Fall. I looked and saw that this special drops the rate at POR to $167 and $181, respectively.

Send more questions as you plan this first big trip, Suzanne; I'd love to help you make it truly, marvelously magical!
