When does Christmas start in Disney

Seasons greetings, Pamela! I'm so glad you stopped by to see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Christmas is by far my favorite time of year, so if you ask me, it's never too soon to start planning for a magical holiday at the Walt Disney World Resort!

As for when Christmas starts at Walt Disney World - well, that depends. The Magic Kingdom Park transforms from a spooky Halloween scene to a winter wonderland literally overnight. This year, the last Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is November 1, so I'd expect to see Christmas decorations popping up there on November 2. Soon after that, the Park will begin hosting Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, although we don't have exact dates yet. Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog - we may get news any day!

We're also waiting to see what the holidays will hold for Disney's Hollywood Studios. Last year, the Flurry of Fun kicked off on November 8. We do know that at Epcot, the 2019 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays returns November 29-December 30.

There's so much to see and do during the holidays at Walt Disney World, Pamela! Be sure to watch the Disney Parks Blog for updates, and please come visit us again if you have any more questions. Happy Disney Holidays!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
