Will Christmas Mass be offered onsite at WDW in 2020? When might that decision be made/where might I look for up to date information? Thanks for any info you can offer!

Hi there, Stacey! Welcome back to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by with another great question.

It sounds like you plan to spend your Christmas holidays at the Most Magical Place on Earth -- how exciting! It is true that Easter Sunday and Christmas Day religious services, including Roman Catholic Mass, has been celebrated yearly at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I attended Easter services there once with my family and it was incredible! However, given the unprecedented nature of this year and the need to encourage as much physical distancing as possible, Walt Disney World has not yet made any announcements regarding the availability of these services for the upcoming Christmas season. I spoke with Guest Services directly to confirm this as well. They did recommend that you call (407) W-DISNEY for updates, or that you check in with Guest Services via the chat function on the Walt Disney World Website. Of course, you could also come back and see us here again, where it would be our pleasure to give you any and all up to date information as it becomes available! As an alternative, you will find that there are many Roman Catholic churches near Walt Disney World, and many other places of worship in the area as well. For Catholic mass listings, I recommend that you browse the MassTimes.org website directly for times and availability, and consider an Uber or Lyft ride to the service of your choice!

Stacey, I hope that this information helps you make your holiday plans as memorable as possible for yourself and your whole family. Meanwhile, check out the Experience Updates pages for all the details of the policies and procedures in place at Walt Disney World that serve to keep all Cast Members and Guests happy and safe during their time on the property. The Disney magic we all know and love is still present and waiting for you at Walt Disney World; it may just feel and look a little bit different. However, it is a wonderful opportunity to make new and lasting memories with the ones you love! Lastly, please do not hesitate to come back to see us again with any other questions you may have as your trip draws closer.

See ya real soon & Happy Holidays!
