Hiya, Donald!
Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad to have you hEAR. Thank you for sending this Disneyland Resort holiday planning question our way!
Oh boy! I love that you're already thinking of a perfect
Holiday time visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!
The Disney Parks Blog recently announced that the Holidays will officially kick off at Mickey's original house on November 11, which means this is the first date we can expect everything to officially be all aglow. You can also count on other seasonal favorites to officially debut on this day, like "
it's a small world holiday",
very merry food and drink menus, characters donning their winter best, the
Disney Festival of Holidays in
Disney California Adventure Park, and
snow much more!
Mickey and his crew of Disney decorators will start making things magically holly jolly as soon as they're done trick-or-treating, so if you're in the parks before the 11th you'll for sure have an opportunity to see the magical transition from one holiday to another. One of my favorite things to do is plan a multi-day visit between the end of October and mid-November and see what changes are made overnight; it's literally like you can exit Disneyland Park at Midnight after a long Disney day, then wake up and *poof*, there's a 60 foot tall Christmas tree in the same park waiting to greet Guests at 8:00 AM the next morning. This is such a fan favorite "how did they do that" moment that there's an entire hour-long behind-the-scenes special on Disney+ called "Decorating Disney: Holiday Magic."
I hope that this helped to better plan your upcoming Disney days, Donald! Be sure to follow the
