Is Christmas a good time to go? When is the off season times? Saw a commercial to stay in a princess theme room. I am so confused this is the trip of a lifetime I am so nervous trying to figure this out. I have even cried a couple of times.

    Hi Rachel!

You have come to the right place.  No reason to cry though it can be difficult planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation if you have never been before.

The first step is figuring out when to go.  Christmas is a very busy time of the year at Walt Disney World, if not the absolute busiest.  I usually recommend that first time visitors don't go then.  That said, the first two weeks of December are a great time to go if you can get away then.  The resorts and parks are beautifully decorated and the crowds are low to medium then.  Basically, Walt Disney World is crowded when older children are typically out of school; that is also when Walt Disney World is usually more expensive.

I suggest picking up a good tour book to help you feel more at ease with planning a Walt Disney World vacation.  One of my favorites is "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is full of information and tips but it is not overwhelming.  Just perfect for the first time visitor.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.

I hope this helps to get you started.  Our responses are limited in length, but I would be happy to help more.  Just write back with more questions!
