For a Christmas gift, I am giving a surprise trip to Disneyworld to my grandchildren. Has anyone made a generic Walt Disney World Gift Certificate I can copy/print to wrap and give them for Christmas?

    Hi Barbara!

You should be able to find something suitable on the web and you can grab Disney clip art from some of the Disney fan community websites.  However, I have another idea for you to consider that I
heard on the PassPorter Mom's Podcast (a Disney planning podcast).   Sara on the podcast suggested putting helium filled balloons in a large box with a note or banner tied to them that basically says "You're going to Walt Disney World".  Be sure to tie the balloons (or just use one large one) and put a weight on the bottom so they don't float off!  You then put all of the balloons in a large box, wrap it, and put a bow on top.  When the box is opened, the balloons will pop out with the sign!  She suggested using a mylar balloon as it will keep the helium from escaping longer!

A scavenger hunt is another great idea as most children love hunting for things.  You could write clues based on various Disney movies or just put an image of a Disney character on each clue the children find.  The last "clue" could be your banner or sign that says "You're going to Walt Disney World".

Another idea is to not tell them anything; when the big day arrives (or maybe the night before) just tell them they are going on a trip, but keep it a mystery as long as possible.  I've heard of people who made it all the way to Walt Disney World in their car before their children found out; others were successful in getting them to the airport and even on a plane before the kids figured it out!

I hope this helps!  Write back with more questions!
