Hi there, Jessica - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question. We love to help Guests just like you plan your very own, very magical, Walt Disney World Resort vacations!
The holidays are an exceptionally magical time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. It's such a treat to experience all the decor, food, entertainment, and so much more! Jessica, while we usually have a good idea of when decorations go up, or at least when most of the decorating will be complete, when it comes down is a bit less consistent. Both the decorating and, for lack of a better term, un-decorating, are processes that take place over several weeks. For instance, your Resort Hotel may be completely back to "normal" and Magic Kingdom Park could have all of its halls still sufficiently decked out in holiday cheer.
Mickey knows that many of his pals visiting for the
runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend aren't able to also visit earlier to experience the holiday magic. For that reason, it's quite normal for most holiday decor to still be up during Marathon Weekend. Some decor will usually start to disappear the Monday after New Year's Day, and based on where dates fall this year, I think it's very likely that you'll still be living in a holiday wonderland for your stay at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort!
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to spread some holiday cheer on this hot summer day, Jessica!
