Ho ho ho, Patrick!
There’s no place like “Home” for the holidays...and now you know why one greeting you’ll hear when you return to Walt Disney World is “Welcome Home!” I love the fact that you’ve asked all about the
holidays at Walt Disney World, one of my favorite topics. I better be careful because I could go on and on about how fun it is to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth during the most wonderful time of the year. So let’s unwrap your question and get right to it, shall we?
Mark November 12th on your calendar because that's when Halloween decor will have turned into a pumpkin and will need to be put away to make way for the yuletide decorations. I hope this news was the surprise you hoped to find in your stocking and not a lump of coal! As much as I adore Walt Disney World in the fall, there’s just something about the holiday spirit that envelops my family and me when we explore the theme parks, Disney Springs, and the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Then it truly does feel like the song says: “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas everywhere you go.”
I found something that shows the massive undertaking it is to go from Halloween decor to holly jolly splendor. The Disney Parks Blog has a
time lapse video that highlights the
Magic Kingdom during this holiday transformation. I don’t know about you, but this makes me appreciate the decor all the more after seeing this!
Patrick, sending you candy cane wishes and sugar plum dreams as you plan your holiday vacation. Please harness the reindeer and take a sleigh ride back over to
planDisney anytime!
Happy Holidays!
