When are the Christmas decorations taken down in January at Disney World??

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Patricia!

The holiday season is my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort and the best part about this special time of year is that it starts a little earlier and ends a little later at The Most Magical Place On Earth. Guests travel from all around the world to get that extra sprinkling of pixie dust that happens right around Christmastime so celebrations will begin on November 8 this year, but I know you're wondering when it's going to end, so let's have a look at some of the holiday events going on and how that might affect what kind of decorations you might see.

In my experience, the Christmas decorations usually come down in the second week in January. This year, there are holiday offerings, like Sunset Seasons Greetings at Disney Hollywood Studios, happening all the way until January 5 so I expect that all of the festive decor will be taken down in stages the following week. It won't all come down at once, but you probably will start to notice the Christmas trees and other trimmings disappear around that time. If you're like me and you can't get enough of the holidays, it's Christmas every single day of the year at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Days of Christmas store in Disney Springs! You can head in there to smell that gingerbread smell, listen to Christmas music, and make all your ornament purchases even in the middle of the summer.

    Have a magical day, Patricia!
