Hello Dolores, and welcome to planDisney! Thank you for sending your questions to us today about the most magical time of the year and my favorite season at the
Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and hotels. I can't wait to see all the new decorations, attend the parties, and eat all the holiday food I can get my hands on. But before all that, let me answer your question.
So, while there's yet to be an official date for when all the decorations will be up, I can give you a pretty good idea based on previous years. Usually, Magic Kingdom is fully decorated for Christmas by the first night of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on November 8, 2024. Even if you arrive a little earlier, you should still see lots of holiday decorations throughout the resort and theme parks.
Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and most of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels will also be beautifully decorated around the second or third week of November. EPCOT will be the last to be fully ready for the holiday season, with the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival running from August 29 to November 23, 2024, leading into the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays from November 29 through December 30, 2024.
Typically, all the decorations will stay up well past Christmas and start to come down around January 1, but it may take a couple of weeks to fully complete the process.
If you want to make sure you get to soak up all the holiday cheer, you can always visit the two permanent Christmas stores,
Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe at Magic Kingdom and
Disney's Days of Christmas at Disney Springs, no matter when you visit.
I hope this information helps, Dolores! I'm sure you'll create many wonderful memories surrounded by sparkling lights during your trip. Feel free to ask us anything else—
we're always happy and ready to help a great friend like you.
Cheers
Nilson
