Hi Steve,
Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to hear that you are planning a visit during the Christmas holiday season!
The exciting news is that the parks and resorts will still be beautifully decorated during the time of your visit. Although the
holiday magic will officially be in full force from November 6-December 30 of this year, in years past when I visited in January, the decorations started to come down during the first week of January. I remember leaving our resort hotel one morning and when I returned that same day I saw several Cast Members taking down the Christmas tree in the lobby.
As you prepare for your visit, I hope you have been following the
Festive Fun in the Disney Parks Blog. I have it on good authority that Santa may be making an appearance at Disney's Hollywood Studios in a red convertible escorted by his lovely elves. If you have not done so already, follow the
Everything Holidays section in the Disney Parks Blog. It has great information to inspire your planning.
When we visited last Christmas, we had to make a plan for dining and shopping. We definitely wanted to enjoy the
Holidays at Disney Springs, so we scheduled an
advanced dining reservation at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' and enjoyed some shopping before dinner. We made dining reservations at a few other
resort hotels so that we could see their fabulous decorations as well.
Steve, stay on top of the planning. Make sure you have your
Disney Park Pass system reservations and have reviewed the
operational updates. We are thrilled to welcome you back to a world of magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
