Welcome to planDisney, Annette! The holiday season is always a great time to visit Mickey and Minnie! The Christmas decorations at the theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs are enough to get even Scrooge McDuck into the holiday spirit!
The decorations at the resorts, including
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Lodge, are usually up for Guests to enjoy by mid-November. I understand why you might be excited for the decorations, particularly at this hotel! The Christmas tree at Wilderness Lodge is one of the grandest in all of Disney World and remains a holiday favorite!
Annette, if Christmas decorations are a favorite of yours, but you feel you might arrive too early in November to enjoy them at your resort, be sure to visit Magic Kingdom! The park is usually the first location in Disney World to be decorated for Christmas! Amazingly enough, Mickey usually begins decorating this park for Christmas once it closes on Halloween night! The magical transformation from Halloween to Christmas begins in the overnight hours, and parkgoers arriving on the morning of November 1 are stunned to find some of the Christmas decorations have already gone up. Magic Kingdom will be fully decorated for Christmas by November 8 when
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party begins!
Dreams do come true!
