Hi Elyse! Looks like you are starting off the new year in the best way possible- with a visit to the most magical place on earth!
The Christmas decorations at
Walt Disney World are legendary- spectacularly decorated trees, thousands of poinsettias, and ribbons and wreaths decking every lamppost in sight. If you arrive in the first few days of January, expect to see merry and bright decorations still hanging. Traditionally I've found the Christmas cheer takedown begins early in January, typically around the 3rd.
This year, however, my family arrived on January 5th and much to our delight, found the lobby of
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort still festooned for Christmas. The next morning we walked through the
Magic Kingdom turnstiles to discover Main Street, U.S.A. completely decked out with Mickey wreaths and the beautiful Christmas tree towering above the square. As late as the 7th, we spotted Christmas poodles and poinsettias in
Disney's Hollywood Studios. This might be a covid one off, however, so most signs of Christmas might be gone by the second full week of January.
Wishing you a wonderful adventure!
Elisabeth
