In 2026, will Christmas decorations be up by Nov 15? Does that include both the resorts and parks at Disney World ?

    Hiya Joan!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your holiday décor question. The holidays are one of my absolute favorite times to visit Disney World. The parks and resorts feel extra magical that time of year. There is just something about walking down Main Street with the giant Christmas tree sparkling in front of Cinderella Castle, while hearing the holiday music playing. I always find myself snacking my way through the parks during the season. Gingerbread Mickey and peppermint bark are two of my holiday must-haves.

So Joan, enough about snacking, let’s jump right into your question. As of right now, Disney has not officially announced the exact dates for when the parks and resorts will be fully decorated for the holidays. However, if past years are any indication, there is a very good chance that many of the parks and some of the resorts will start looking festive by around November 15. Last year, the official holiday season began on November 14.

Typically, Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are the first parks to transform into their holiday look. Magic Kingdom hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which is one of my family’s favorite events. Hollywood Studios usually hosts Jollywood Nights, so those parks often decorate earlier to prepare for those special celebrations. EPCOT is usually the last park to finish decorating as it transitions from the Food and Wine Festival to the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

The resorts also get in on the festive fun. Many of them feature beautiful Christmas trees, and some even display incredible gingerbread creations that are worth visiting just to see. My favorite is the Gingerbread carousel over at the Beach Club. Resort hopping during the holidays is such a fun way to take in all the decorations.

As the holiday season gets closer, I highly recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. That is where Disney usually shares the latest announcements about holiday décor, special treats, seasonal merchandise, and all the festive offerings around the resort.

Joan, I hope this helps as you start planning your holiday visit. If you have any other questions along the way, feel free to stop by and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
