Hi there, Kim. Welcome to planDisney!
I love this question! We all know that Cinderella's magic ended when the clock struck midnight. But not yours, Kim! On December 31, 2025, when the midnight bell signals that this year has come to an end and 2026 has arrived, your magic begins. Kim, great minds think alike, because last year I did the same thing. I wanted to start my year in the most magical way possible, so I made my way to Walt Disney World on January 1st.
I'm happy to report that after ringing in a new year, Walt Disney World's festive magic does not disappear overnight. Instead, holiday decorations are removed in a gradual process. I spent the first four or five days of the new year at Walt Disney World. I'm happy to let you know that I was still able to admire the beautiful tree in the lobby of the
Animal Kingdom Lodge each day, enjoy the holiday decorations at each of the theme parks, and feel that holiday spirit. So, while there isn't a day that the Fairy Godmother waves her magic wand and all the holiday magic turns back into regular magic, you should have no problem seeing many of the trees, garland, and sparkles of the season during those first days of the new year. However, enjoy the holiday touches while you can because the festive pixie dust doesn't last for long.
A little holiday magic that you are guaranteed to enjoy is making a dining reservation at
Hollywood & Vine for Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood Studios. This festive dinner will be taking place through January 4th!
Kim, I hope this helped answer your question. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for any updated holiday information. I also want to make sure you have the link for the
Special Offers, Deals, and Discounts. I hope you'll find an offer that you can use either for this trip or maybe later in 2026!
I hope you'll stop by and visit us again if you have other questions. There is nothing we would rather
bibbidi bobbidi do than help you create your magical moments. Kim, I'm wishing you the most magical 2026!
Happy planning,
Shonette
