When do the Christmas decoration go up?

    Hello JoAnn!
Thanks for bringing such a great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
It is worth a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays just to see the amazing decorations. My favorite is the Gingerbread House at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

My Disney Parks Moms Panel friend Bob A. gave a fantastic response to this question recently which includes a fun link to a video of the parks transforming.  I highly recommend checking it out.

The decorations begin going up almost immediately following Halloween and you can expect the vast majority to be completed before the first Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on November 8.

    See ya real soon!

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother.  One of my favorite things to do is to travel with multi-generational groups. I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures. Learn More About Anne
