On Christmas day we are planning to go to Hollywood Studios, is it very crowded on that day? I know MK is very crowded and sometimes reached capacity couldn't find any information on Hollywood Studios?

    Hello Lezlie,

I can safely say that Christmas week at Walt Disney World is mobbed!  Magic Kingdom typically closes at about mid-day because it fills to capacity.  It is a magical place to be on Christmas Day, and if you don't mind the crowd get there at park opening.  I love going to Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day, but in the evening.  It's still full, but I enjoy being there, people watching and having hot chocolate while it "snows" on Main Street USA.  Whatever attraction I get to ride is just a bonus.

Hollywood Studios will also be very crowded, as will all of the other parks.  You may consider doing something else during the day.  I know that one of my Moms Panel friends left the park and went to play mini golf with her family.  There was NO ONE there and they enjoyed the golf course for as long as they wanted!  She said it's one of her favorite Disney holiday memories.  Take some time to enjoy your resort.  There are always activities planned for that day.  One thing that I LOVE to do is tour the different resorts.  Each resort is themed so they are decorated for the holidays differently.  They are all very beautiful.  You could plan to have a special breakfast, lunch and dinner at different resorts too.  Don't forget the Grand Floridian if you want a gingerbread snack (that you can purchase in a true to life size gingerbread house!  The High Tea at the Grand Floridian is also excellent.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday at Walt Disney World!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
