On Christmas Day we are planing on starting out day at Epcot and then going to Hollywood Studios that night, where would be the best place for us to park? We plan on taking the Skyliner to get from Epcot to Hollywood Studios.

Hi there, Amy, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're planning a festive Christmas celebration at Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm so glad you're here with this great question! There's no time like Christmas at the Most Magical Place on Earth. It's an incredible, special celebration!

Amy, you'll be happy to know that you have a few options when it comes to parking and moving from one Disney Theme Park to the next. Let me start by explaining a bit about the parking and transportation system at EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Each Disney Theme Park offers parking that allows you to use the main entrance of the theme park. EPCOT, however, is unique because it also has a second entrance at the opposite side of the park: the International Gateway within the World Showcase. This entrance is not located near a parking lot, but this is where you'll find the Disney Skyliner station.

My advice would be to park at Disney's Hollywood Studios in the morning. Walk toward the entrance, and you'll see the Disney Skyliner station. Hop on the Skyliner and swing like Tarzan to EPCOT. You'll make a stop at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, where you'll disembark, hop in line for EPCOT, and enjoy a 14-minute ride to the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT. Tap in at the tapstiles and enjoy the park! When you're ready to go back to Hollywood Studios, use that same International Gateway entrance to get back to the Skyliner. The main entrance of EPCOT does not have a Skyliner station. If you find yourself closer to the main entrance of EPCOT and you're ready to head to Hollywood Studios, feel free to exit the park there and take a bus. I love the idea of planning to make the end of your fun day as easy as possible. Having your car at Hollywood Studios will hopefully streamline your exit!

I should let you know that, on occasion, the Disney Skyliner is unavailable. Often, this is due to weather. In that case, you would want to plan to take a bus.

Amy, I hope this is helpful to you as you continue to plan for a wonderful Christmas visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Yule have a great time! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have as you count down to your vacation!

    See you real soon!
