    When is the Christmas Day Parade taping? Our family of children and grandchildren want to plan our vacation to be there at that time. Also what is needed- releases, registration to do this? Thanks so much!

    Hi Mary Ann,

    Details for this year's holiday special taping have not yet been announced. Last year, Disney Parks introduced the Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration, which was taped the first weekend of December. The format changed a bit last year with the change from "Christmas Parade" to "Christmas Celebration", and we're not sure what the theme or format will be for this year.

    Traditionally, any guests inside Magic Kingdom Park are able to attend the taping segments and no special releases or registration have been required. If anything changes, the Disney Parks Blog team will be sure to update as soon as the information is available.
