We are going before Christmas and they just added EMH to every day 7-8. We are not staying on site. Dec 19th it says the Welcome Show is at 6:40 - does this mean only those on site will be able to see it? It will never be before regular rope?

    Hello, Krista!

Magic Kingdom Welcome Show is an opening ceremony that occurs every morning to welcome Guests into the theme park. This show is always on my family's must do list, and I highly recommend seeing it. Only Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel can take advantage of Extra Magic Hours. However, you can access the area between bag check and the admission touch points. Once you go through bag check walk to the middle area where you should have an unobstructed view of the show without needing to enter the theme park touch points.

Since you will have about an hour before regular theme park opening, I suggest planning to have breakfast at one of the dining locations at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. For a table service experience, consider making an advanced dining reservation at The Wave or Chef Mickey's. If you prefer a quick service location, the Contempo Cafe offers many items sure to please every member of your family. After breakfast, you can head back to the Magic Kingdom to begin your magical theme park day.

I hope this helps, and you can see the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show during your visit. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!

    Have a magical vacation!
