What Christmas activities will be available at the end of November 2020? With the parks closing early, I'm really worries we won't get to see any lights and decorations. Is there ANY chance Mickey's Verry Merry Christmas Party will happen? :(

Welcome back to planDisney, Nicole! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today because the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort is a big tradition in my family and it sounds like it's really important to you as well. My husband and I visit The Most Magical Place On Earth every December to catch the extra Christmastime magic, and once I heard what was in store for the holiday celebrations this year we booked a trip to keep the tradition going in 2020. While Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will not be happening this year, there will be so much to see and do and I'm happy to chat with you about all of it!

The holiday season will begin on November 6, which means that everything festive will be up and running and in full swing when you arrive later that month. Magic Kingdom Park will be decked out with beautiful Christmas baubles and wreaths, and Cinderella Castle will be the canvas for some special holiday projections once the sun goes down. There will also be Character Cavalcades down Main Street U.S.A., so keep your eyes open for some of your favorites from Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade like the Gingerbread Men, Santa's Reindeer, and the Toy Soldiers, who will be appearing alongside the Main Street Philharmonic. You have to make plans to visit EPCOT after November 27, because that's the day that the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will begin. The Holiday Kitchens are a major highlight of my trip each year so I'm glad to see some of my favorites, like the American Holiday Table and Bavaria Holiday Kitchen, returning this year.

Outside the Theme Parks, the Resort Hotels will have their lobbies decorated with themed Christmas trees and festive flourishes, and snow will be falling in the evenings at Disney Springs! If you're a fan of the Christmas Tree Trail, it's back in a new form this year with the trees spread around the restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. Even with the Theme Parks closing a little earlier this year than they have in the past, you'll still have plenty of opportunities to get into the holiday spirit.

    Have a magical day, Nicole!
