Mary from NJ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Hi Christina. I am a Florida resident, originally from NJ also. We will be attending a Conference at Disney and staying at the Dolphin/Swan hotel from 6/27-7/2/ 26. In purchasing park tickets should I purchase them as Fla residents or the group convention.

    Hiya Mary,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your ticket question! I always love meeting a fellow New Jersey native who traded the Garden State Parkway for palm trees and pixie dust.

How exciting that you will be attending a conference at Disney! Honestly, there is no better way to mix business with a little Disney magic. And staying at the Swan Hotel or Dolphin Hotel is such a fantastic choice because the location truly cannot be beat. Being able to walk or take a boat over to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios always makes the trip feel even more magical. My family also loves strolling over to the BoardWalk in the evenings for snacks, entertainment, and dinner. One of my personal favorites is Flying Fish

Now let’s jump right into your question! The conference tickets you mentioned are often specially discounted tickets offered through Disney Meetings and Events for conference attendees. However, the details and savings can vary depending on the event. Some convention tickets may be valid only for certain dates, may not include the Park Hopper option, or may be limited to one park per day.

Because you are a Florida resident, you may also qualify for some very good Florida Resident ticket special offers. Right now, Walt Disney World is offering Florida Residents a Disney Summer 4-Day Ticket for as low as $65 per day plus tax, valid through October 3, 2026. These tickets are an incredible deal and vary based on how many park days you plan to use and whether you want additional options like Park Hopper benefits. Just remember, you have to be able to show valid proof of Florida residency.

What I would personally recommend is comparing both offers side by side before purchasing. Take a close look at the conference ticket details to see exactly what is included and compare that pricing to the current Florida Resident offers. Also, be sure to check your conference information carefully because Disney Meetings and Events will sometimes send a personalized ticket link or separate email with exclusive ticket details. If you have not received that information yet, I would definitely recommend reaching out to your meeting organizer for clarification.

Mary, I truly think you are going to have such a wonderful trip. Between the conference and the Disney magic, you are in for such a treat. I hope this helps answer your question! If you have any additional questions, please feel free to stop by and visit us again.

    See you real soon,

    Christina
