Hi Chris, Thanks for taking time to answer my last question. You suggested staying at the French Quarters, and it seems quite nice. My question is what is the difference between Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend?

    Hi again, Pamela!
It's my pleasure. Thank YOU for coming back for more information.
To clarify, French Quarter is one of two sections of the Port Orleans Resort. The sister property to Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ) is Port Orleans Riverside (POR). Both Alligator Bayou and Magnolia Bend are part of the Riverside portion and not the French Quarter.
The two types of accomodations differ in building style and theme, but they share everything else from the lobby to the food court to a great pool complex called Ol' Man Island.
Magnolia Bend is the "mansion" area where 3-story buildings are reminiscent of plantaion-style architecture and Alligator Bayou is two-story, tin-roofed, rustic wooden structures.
I have no personal preference between the two, but I will say that POR is my favorite "moderate" resort in all of Walt Disney World.
I hope this helps and I definitely recommend staying at this resort!! :)
