Hi Chris can you tell me how bad is the rain changes in october? Is this a good month to come weather wise and crowd wise? Also what do you think of POP resort. thanks for all the help. have a great day. Teresa

    Hi Teresa!
Thanks for your question! I think October is one of THE best months to come to Walt Disney World. The crowd levels are moderate, the parks are decorated for Halloween, and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party is going on many nights during the month. That said, I would target the second half of the month versus the first half. I say this because early October can still be quite hot AND very humid. I experienced this first hand last October during Columbus Day weekend. Each day, it was near 90 degrees with 90% humidity (which I do not like), whereas 2-3 short weeks later, the temperatures were much more comfortable and much drier. As for rain, the weather can be a bit unpredictable, with one day being beautiful and the next being a severe thunderstorm. The good news about rain in Orlando in October is that it usually movers out pretty quickly. This would be the time to hit inside attractions like Haunted Mansion or the Pirates of the Carribean if you need to duck the raindrops. Rain should not be that big a factor in your planning if you ask me. Finally, although I have never personally stayed at the POP century resort, I hear many positive things about it. You may want to direct a question to Marc Lorenzo here on the panel to get specifics about the resort (he has helped me with this type of information before). If I can answer any other questions about an upcoming trip, please do not hesitate to ask. It will be my pleasure!! :)
