Hi Chris- I see that your daughters are about the same age as my daughters (11 & 8). ? is ... are my girls too old for Mickey's Backyard BBQ? They still love the characters and say that they want to do the BBQ rather than HDDR. Your thoughts? Thanks

    Hi Jana!
Thanks for your question. Yes, our daughters are about the same age, and yes, mine still LOVE seeing characters also. That being said, none of them (yours or mine) are too old, in my opinion, for Mickey's Backyard BBQ. My girls would eat peanut butter covered bricks at a character meal, as long as it had Mickey/Minnie there, or princesses, or Pooh and friends, etc. The point is, I don't think you ever outgrow that love of characters, regardless of age. I'm a grown man and I still jump into pictures with my kids and characters.
Also, as much as I love Hoop-de-Doo Revue, there are no Disney characters at the shows. So, Mickey's Backyard BBQ is a better choice of the two, and your girls are not too old to see Mickey. They actually sound like they would get along quite well with my girls!! :) I hope you all have a magical time at the BBQ. Let me know if I can help further, it would be my pleasure. :)
