We were chosen to test the new Magic Bands during our trip, can we put a cash deposit down at the front desk and still "charge purchases" using the band. Or do we need a credit/debit card. Pop Cent. CM said yes but a call to the central line sai

Jennifer, how fun- you get to test the new Magic Bands!

Since these high tech devices are still in the testing phase, sometimes clear answers are not yet available. I spoke to several Cast Members who were unsure if you could actually put down cash to cover expenses made with Magic Bands. All the CMs did propose that you put down a credit or debit card, set a debt limit, and then pay off your balance with cash the day before you check out. No charges will ever be made against your card and all expenses will be paid for in cash using this method.

I hope this answer helps. Please contact the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you want additional information about Magic Bands or any other aspect of your vacation.
