    I have chosen to celebrate my son's 11th birthday on board the Disney magic. How do I set up the celebration and order cakes etc, or is there something usually planned once the option is selected?

    That sounds like an awesome birthday plan for your 11-year old son! He will have a stupendous time on the Disney Magic and all its re-imagined glory! There are a few things that you can do to make it exponentially more magical for him while on your voyage.  You might want to check out the additional items included in the Celebration Package.  If you choose to order anything for your stateroom, your order will need to be placed at least 2 weeks prior to your sail date.  When you Check-In Online, you can also indicate a type of event that you might be celebrating while on board.  My 2 kids' birthdays are a month apart, and we usually go on a cruise in between their birthdays, so that we can celebrate their birthdays on board.  Your Dining Team will be advised, and they even provide a birthday cake (at no charge) while they sing Happy Birthday to him. 

    Don't forget to stop by Guest Services when you embark to pick up your son's Birthday Pin to wear throughout the cruise!  Another no-cost souvenir idea would be to bring a T-Shirt, bag, Photo Mat, Pillowcase or other item for the characters to sign for your birthday boy.  Up to 2 items can be left with Guest Services in a plastic bag labeled with your Last Name and Stateroom number.  Make sure to include your chosen sharpie or markers to be used (you can pick his favorite color).  Towards the end of your voyage, these items will be returned to your stateroom.
