Welcome to planDisney, Allison and thanks for dropping by with your question.
While I love taking advantage of complimentary resort transportation to get around the Walt Disney World Resort, navigation can sometimes be a challenge! So, like Moana learning to become a voyager, let’s dive into some specifics.
Depending on the time of day you’re hoping to visit Magic Kingdom Park, you are correct that walking through EPCOT, even if you have park hopper tickets, won’t be an option. Currently,
park hopping begins at 2:00 PM, so if you’d like to visit Magic Kingdom Park early in the day, my best recommendation would be to use
Disney bus transportation from
Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
There is no safe way to walk around
EPCOT through any green spaces to use the EPCOT monorail and even if walking to the front would be an option,
the opening hours of both parks would not make this an ideal solution
(Magic Kingdom Park opens at 9:00 AM in September whereas EPCOT opens at 11:00 AM). In lieu of resort transportation some guests will elect to use a ride share service or rental care, however I do believe Disney bus transportation would still be quicker (as you would be dropped off or park at the Transportation and Ticket Center).
Allison, while this likely isn’t the news you were wishing to hear, I do hope that it’s helpful in planning your arrival at Magic Kingdom Park. Disney’s Beach Club Resort is still a fantastic choice for its proximity and access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios (not to mention the famous Stormalong Bay!). Disney’s Beach Club Resort is also home to my son’s new favorite restaurant:
Cape May Café. If you’re looking for all-you-care-to-enjoy food served family style, you’ll find great options here.
Best wishes, Allison, for a pixie dusted stay. If you have additional questions, please come on back to planDisney!
