    If you had to choose between going to WDW in May or August, which would you choose and why?

    Hi Jenny,

    It's always fun hearing from a fellow Bay Stater! I would choose May hands down for several reasons:

     August is super, duper hot in Florida. Picture our hottest August day and then turn the heat up a whole bunch. I took my kids in August of 2008, and we waited over 90 minutes in line for Kali River Rapids at the Animal Kingdom just for the chance to cool off. The crowds are heavier in early August because the locals are out of school too. If you must go in August, choose the last week as a lot of Southerners are back in school by then.

    The weather in May is beautiful. In addition, the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival is usually on until May 20th. It is absolutely gorgeous and the special events are always fun.
