If you had to choose; Staying 10-4/10-8, me, hubby & 5 yr girl. Would you rather stay at Value (Pop most likely); resort and visit parks 3 days or Moderate resort and visit parks for 2 days. Will be going to MNSSHP also. Really value panel thoughts, he

    Hi Kristen,

Thanks so much for your question. I'm sure every Moms panelist's answer would vary a little, based on each family's circumstances, but I can tell you that my family usually chooses to spend less on the room so that we can spend more on visiting the parks, dining and special activities.

We stay at Pop Century a couple of weekends a year and have since it first opened. It's our favorite value resort. We're lucky enough to live close by, so transportation isn't a big factor for us like it will be for you. Even so, we like to maximize our park time whenever we are at Walt Disney World.

We also like the fact that Pop Century does not share a bus with other resorts and has a single bus station. I actually think that's an advantage over the moderate resorts.

The Walt Disney World value resorts have the same attention to detail and customer service that you find at the moderate or deluxe resorts. The compromise you make is on the size of the rooms, which are a bit smaller, and on the size of the beds. Pop rooms have two double beds, while most moderates and all the deluxe resorts have queen beds.

The swimming pools also get more elaborate as you move from a value to a moderate to a deluxe resort.

So, if you plan to spend a lot of time in the room or at the pool, you might lean toward a moderate. But if your primary goal is to see and do as much as possible in the theme parks, I am confident you will have an enjoyable stay at the Pop Century resort.

I hope that's helpful. Please feel free to write back if you need more details or have other questions. I'm happy to assist any way I can.

Enjoy your time with your family!
