Hey there Brandi and welcome to planDisney!
September has become the month of my annual pilgrimage to the Walt Disney World Resort. I never get tired of the fall decorations and
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party never disappoints. I have a few different methods for picking my Theme Park order that all take into account my experience with the crowds at this time of year. Let's try to tailor your experience for the most fun possible!
Forego hitting the parks at all during your arrival date. Instead, take some time to unpack and unwind with a Saturday night Advanced Dining Reservation at
The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs. You'll be able to wake up rested and refreshed on Sunday to walk on the wild side at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Now that you've avoided the weekend locals crowd, it's time to eat and drink your way around the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival on Monday. Tuesday is a great day to visit
Disney's Hollywood Studios for a little Slinky Dog Dash-ing and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Wednesday is a perfect time to visit
Magic Kingdom Park since it's not a Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party date. Now personally I would skip the parks during the day on Thursday and grab myself an extra dose of magic with a ticket for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for that evening. Take in the low crowds and Halloween overlays on some old favorites like Space Mountain and catch the
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and dance all night with the Sanderson Sisters at the
Hocus Pocus Villian Spelltacular. Then on Friday sleep in and enjoy your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel with a day at the pool and the last night meal at
Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs. Saturday it'll be time to head home until next time!
Pro-tip: As soon as you've decided, go ahead and lock those dates in with
Theme Park Reservation via the Disney Park Pass System.
Brandi, I hope this plan of action gives you exactly the vacation your looking for. There's even a little time for some magical rest and relaxation in there. If you have any other questions, please feel free to
come back for another chat. I'm happy to help!
Happy planning!
