If we choose not to get the dessert with our DDP meal, will the credit carry over for another time?

    Hi Vicki,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this question about the Disney Dining Plan. I'm happy to help!

Unfortunately, if you decide not to get the dessert with your lunch or dinner, you cannot carry it over to use at another time. However, the 2016 Disney Dining Plan allows for some substitutions that may be of interest to you:

    • If you are using a Quick-Service meal credit for lunch or dinner, you will receive an entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage. The dessert and/or non-alcoholic beverage may be substituted for any item that is an eligible snack at that location. (You just have to do the substitution in same transaction.)
    • If you are using a Table-Service meal credit for lunch or dinner, you will receive an entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage (or one buffet/family-style meal). There may be potential substitutions available for your dessert, but substitutions are not guaranteed. Just ask your server if any substitutions are available.

I hope this helps with your planning, Vicki. Please stop back and let me know if I can answer any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
