Hey there! Hi there, David! Welcome to planDisney. It looks like you are days away from your arrival at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I love watching the countdown on the
My Disney Experience app, and I love it even more when my countdown is in single digits!
With
online check-in, you can start the process for your arrival when there are still many numbers left on that countdown clock. Depending on your resort, you may have different options to share some room preferences, but your card will not be charged at this time.
On your arrival day, the magic is unlocked! That day, you can check the My Disney Experience app for updates on when your resort room is ready and get your room number. You can skip the Front Desk and use your
MagicBand+ or the app to open your door.
On this day, the resort will place an
authorization hold on the form of payment shared at check-in to cover any remaining balance on a Guest's resort reservation and an amount for incidentals. Since your resort reservation is paid already, they will do an authorization hold for $100 when you check in this week. You will only be charged for what you spend during your stay. If the amount is less than the authorization hold, the excess balance will be released when your payments are processed on check-out day.
During your vacation, you can check what has been charged to your resort on the My Disney Experience app. Just go to the resort reservation section on the app. It's a helpful tool to keep track of everything you have purchased.
I hope you have a magical trip this week! If you have any other questions, please stop back by
planDisney.
See 'Ya Real Soon!
