Which would you choose, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano OR Hollywood & Vine, and why?

    Hi Katie,

Well, well. You sure know how to ask a pretty complex question! Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano and Hollywood & Vine could not be any more different, but both are exceptional in their own way.  How can anyone choose, let alone a Moms Panelist that loves everything Walt Disney World? But, I'll do my best to list what our family loves about each, and hopefully that will help with your our decision and vacation planning.

During our last visit to Walt Disney World, we had Advanced Dining Reservations for both restaurants. As a mom who loves to have down time during dinner, Mama Melrose's was the restaurant I preferred. The food was fantastic, including the kids' meals, and the ambiance was not too upscale but quiet enough that we could have family conversations. You really did feel as if you were having dinner at your Nonna's table. Also, the desserts were beyond amazing. The kids loved their spaghetti and meatball cupcakes and I couldn't get enough of the Chocolate Cannoli Cake.

Hollywood & Vine is just as magical, if not more. The meals are buffet-style, which may be easier for parents of princes and princesses with picky appetites. We loved the relaxing feel of this restaurant, but it was a bit louder than Mama Melrose's due to the hustle and bustle of the buffet, and the amount of little guests enjoying their meals.

I hope this answers your question, Katie. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me at any time. I'm always here to help.

    Have a fantastical Disney day!
