Can you choose your home resort when purchasing points for DVC?

    Hi Lori,

You will be able to choose your Home Resort from any of the available properties which right now are Bay Lake Towers at the Contemporary Resort, Animal Kingdom Villas, and Aulani on the magical island of O'ahu, Hawaii.  There may also be some properties available at Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.  Your Home Resort allows you to book vacations 11 months in advance.  I always think of this as a "home court advantage."  This is very helpful when you are planning around busy times of the year such as Christmas, Easter, Spring Break, the summer months, and New Year's Eve.  You can, of course, book any of the other properties up to 7 months before your vacation.  Since you live in Kentucky, I would suggest considering one of the Walt Disney World properties as your Home Resort since you will visit there more often than going to Hawaii (unless you are very lucky!)  One of my Home Resorts is at the Animal Kingdom Villas, and my family just has the best time when we visit here.  I love waking up and seeing the giraffes, Ankole Cattle, and zebras from the balcony.  It is so unique and exotic.  I know whatever resort you choose, Lori, that your family will have many years of magical memories there!  Thank you, again, for your question.
