If you had a choice between staying longer or having the DP, what would you choose? We have 4 char meals and about 7 TS which includes V&A. We are willing to cut a few reservations to save money but don't want to miss out on the disney experience:)

    Hi Connie!

Wow. That's a good question (and tough one) :-)

Since the room reservations generally end up costing more than the total Disney Dining Plan, if you're on a tight budget, I would have to go with the option that saves me the most money. You would probably come out cheaper getting a shorter trip with Dining Plan than a longer trip without one. If you stay longer, not only are you paying the extra days for the room, you're also paying at minimum 15-20% more paying out of pocket over the Dining Plan...

Now, if you have money to splurge...

My family and I could probably sacrifice a meal or two (i.e. eating a snack) if we could get a couple extra days. We've taken a few 3 or 4-day trips and they always seem to go by WAY too fast. So if the money is there, opt for the longer stay...

Hope whichever option you choose works perfectly for you and family. Have a magical time!
