DH, DS 8&5 your choice: carribean Beach or Wilderness Lodge? Ate at Whisp Canyon last year and loved it.(stayed ASmovie)This is a treat so $$ is not issue. Which would be more fun?pools?Food choices? any pro or con would be helpful.

My family has stayed at both resorts. Each resort offers a unique atmosphere.

For a treat, i would stay at the Wilderness Lodge. Opt for the Caribbean Beach Resort on your next trip. I would save CBR for a trip where you need or want to save money.

The Wilderness Lodge is truly a gem. Since you ate at Whispering Canyon Cafe, you already know the breathtaking beauty of this hotel. You might want to book the Artist Point for a parents only meal and let the kids hang out at the Cub's Den.

Our family loves to dine at Whispering Canyon. We try to eat there once each trip. The good food and tremendous laughs are a wonderful way to enjoy a vacation.

The kids might find the pool at CBR much more interesting but the Northwest setting at the Wilderness Lodge is fun too. The pool at CBR has a pirate theme and there is now a fun water play structure in the shape of a pirate ship. Traveling by boat to the Magic Kingdom adds to the fun at the Wilderness Lodge as does the geyser that erupts hourly from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.

For convenience, WL wins. The resort is more compact that the sprawling villages of CBR. WL also sits closely to the Magic Kingdom!
