we want to do the Chip and Dale sing-a-long during our stay june 21-25 2010 my? is what time does it start and what time do we need to be there, and is it really free. thanks you all are so much help:)

    Jennifer:

I know it's hard to believe in our bait-and-switch world, but Chip 'n' Dale's campfire singalong at Fort Wilderness is free!

The evening begins around 7:40 p.m. when the firepots are lit. I'd say about 25% of the families will roast marshmallows around the pits.  (You can either bring your own or buy s'more fixin's at the Cantina behind the bleachers.)  The singing cowboy--or sometimes a cowgirl--takes the stage promptly at 8:00 p.m.  Chip 'n' Dale make their entrance and visit the crowd and do an excellence job of making the rounds.  The singalong ends around 8:20 p.m and gives everyone enough time to get situated for the movie that usually starts around 8:40 p.m.

You can always find a seat, if you're not picky about it's location, even if you get there late. Although I actually prefer a seat in the bleachers so I can see everything that's going on, most visitors tend to fill the wooden benches first and an arrival around 7:30 to 7:40 p.m. will land you one of those.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
