Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to Walt Disney World you go! You must be so excited that your fall getaway is almost here, Balinda. I can hardly sleep the last few nights before a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. I'm happy to answer your question so you can let the memories begin!
During the
current phased reopening of the Disney Parks and Resorts, there are so many wonderful experiences available to Guests. While the
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long is not happening at this time,
guests of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground still have a variety of recreation to enjoy during their stay. Swimming pools are open and offer poolside activities and games each afternoon. My children participated in poolside games on a recent trip to
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and we were pleased with physical distancing measures facilitated by Cast Members during these activities. In addition to swimming, at this time,
archery,
horseback riding,
fishing excursions, and
Movies Under the Stars are up and running at
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
For my family, character experiences are an essential part of a Walt Disney World visit, and although at this moment, Chip and Dale won't be hosting a campfire, you'll still see some familiar faces on this vacation. In the theme parks, you might catch your princess pals in a cavalcade along Main Street U.S.A. or some furry friends floating down the river at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. For a more intimate encounter, modified character dining is available at the
Garden Grill Restaurant in
EPCOT (Chip and Dale usually make appearances here!),
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at
Disney's Riviera Resort, and
Hollywood & Vine at
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Balinda, while some aspects of a Walt Disney World vacation are a little different these days, I know you will have a magical getaway! You'll be visiting just in time to catch the fall decorations and sample the seasonal snack offerings at the Magic Kingdom Park. Enjoy every spooky second! If there is anything else we can do before you fly off to Never Land, please come again. We love to help.
See ya real soon,
Betsy
