Hello, after the chip n dale campfire, how exactly would we get back to POR? I need specific info if possible because it seems rather confusing to me. Thank you for your help!

Hi Kristin!  I stay at Fort Wilderness a lot as we have a motor coach and we often "camp" in Loop 600 which is directly across the small lake from the Chip and Dale's Campfire Singalong area. The easiest route is to cross the small bridge over the water and go through Loop 600 to main road and turn right. There is a bus stop there but by the time you wait for the orange bus you will be at the same point a bus would drop you off and it just isn't that far to walk. Continue straight down the path that is strictly for carts and pedestrians. You will see Pioneer Hall on the left and a small outpost store on the right and the marina is straight ahead.  Take the boat to the Magic Kingdom and it will let you off directly in front of the park. Turn right and the buses will be right there for you to find the Port Orleans bus. This is absolutely the easiest and fastest way to get back to a resort from Fort Wilderness using Disney transportation. You can see a map of Fort Wilderness by clicking HERE but remember it is not to scale.

The other two options are to take the path to the main road again and wait across the street for the orange bus which will take you to the front of the resort. There you can hop on a park bus or Downtown Disney bus and transfer at those locations to Port Orleans transportation. Some parks might not have buses running due to their earlier closing times. Downtown Disney is always a sure bet in the evening.

The last option is to take the bus to the front and call a taxi. That number is 407-422-2222. Tell them where you are and how many persons and where you will need to go and it usually is about a 10-15 minute wait. The cost would likely be no more then $12 and they will send a van cab for a larger group.
