Chip N Dale Camp: We are staying @ POF. We are walking to POR to ride boat to DTD for the day. Can we take boat from DTD to Camp? Then boat back to POF? OR do we have to take boat from DTD back to POF then bus to park and another bus to camp?

    Hi Chandra,

Thanks so much for your question!  I get so excited when I find questions asked specifically to me from guests.  You made my day!

Now, if you are referring to Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Singalong in your question, you should know that there is no boat to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground from Downtown Disney or from your home resort.  Since you'll be spending the day at Downtown Disney, the most fun way to reach your intended destination is by taking a complimentary Disney bus from Downtown Disney to the Magic Kingdom.  When you arrive at the Magic Kingdom, disembark your bus and board a boat headed to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  Once you arrive at Fort Wilderness, grab an internal resort bus to the Meadow Training Post.  The Campfire Singalong is held behind the Meadow Trading Post so disembark at this stop.  Give yourself 90 minutes from Downtown Disney to the Singalong since may have to wait for a boat or bus at some point in your journey.

If you would prefer to take an all-bus route to see Chip and Dale, grab a bus from Downtown Disney to Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  When you arrive at Fort Wilderness, transfer to the internal resort bus and disembark at the Meadow Trading Post, as I mentioned in the previous paragraph.  This route is a bit more direct than the first one I mentioned but I'm a big fan of the boat rides across Bay Lake so I would opt for the first route.  Which path you choose, of course, is your choice!

To get back to your home resort at the end of the evening, take the internal Fort Wilderness bus to the dock.  Board a boat headed to the Magic Kingdom, and then grab a bus headed back to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter.

    Have fun!
