Hi Rachel!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! This is a great question, but even better is that your Mouseketeer has two parents who both want to take them to Walt Disney World Resort.
If the child is at least 13 years old, you could spin off the child's profile into their own My Disney Experience account that is linked to both parent profiles, limit the info that the child's profile shares, and you hold on to the login information. Or, since only one adult can "manage" a profile for someone under 13, your child could technically have two profiles, one in each parent's account.
For a teenager, log in to your My Disney Experience Account and find the child's profile in your '
My Family and Friends' list. On the child's profile click 'update', click 'Invite to Connect', and follow those prompts.
From the child's new My Disney Experience account: Choose to keep their family and friends list private, connect to both parents, and under each parent profile select 'Only Our Shared Plans' which will
only allow each connection to view the plans that they share with the child.
If both you and your former spouse make a profile for the same child in your separate accounts, this 100 percent guarantees that no info can be seen by the other adult, and there are also fewer steps involved. The only downside to this method is all MagicBands the child has received or purchased on a vacation with you won't register on a visit with the other spouse as MagicBands are forever linked to one profile. (Technically the system will think that there are two separate children with the same exact name and birthday.)
For more information or assistance with this, a helpful My Disney Experience Cast Member can be reached at (407) 939-4357.
I hope this helped, Rachel!
