Are all the Children’s Activity Centers in DisneyWorld Resorts closed?

    Hi Adriana,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Yes, the Children's Activity Centers at Walt Disney World Resort hotels such as Lilo's Playhouse, Sandcastle Club, and Simba’s Cubhouse that offered childcare services closed in the summer as a result of attracting fewer Guests.

The good news is that you do have options that can be ideal if you want to enjoy time on your own to take in an evening of dining or entertainment.

Kid’s Nite Out is an Independent childcare provider offering in-room babysitting The caretakers can also take your children around your Resort so they can have fun with the Resort’s recreation and activities. They wouldn't be able to take your children to swimming pools or water-related recreation. For pricing and reservations, you can contact Kid's Nite Out by calling (407) 828-0920.

Camp Dolphin at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel offers evening activities for children ages 4 to 12. For pricing and reservations, you can contact Camp Dolphin by calling (407) 934-4241.

Perhaps most exciting of all is Pixar Play Zone which opened in the Spring. Children ages 4 to 12 can enjoy the fun at Pixar Play Zone that includes dance parties, activities, racing games, and time with Disney Character friends. The fee is currently $65 per child (plus tax). You can make reservations by calling (407) 824-KIDS.

Adriana, here's wishing you a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
