Guten Morgen, Antonio! Welcome to planDisney. You must be very excited for this adventure to Anaheim!
Antonio, currently there is no requirement to obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to visiting Disneyland Resort. Per the
latest guidance on the Disneyland Resort website, “The State of California strongly recommends that all Guests be fully vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the Disneyland Resort. It is strongly recommended that Guests wear face coverings when indoors and in enclosed transportation. Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and older), regardless of vaccination status, in certain indoor health settings, such as in First Aid. Face coverings are optional for Guests in outdoor areas.”
I recommend checking out the
Experience Updates page prior to your arrival for more details, so you can be well prepared for your visit.
You have so much adventure awaiting you! Can I share a few more tips for your visit?
~ Make sure to download the
Disneyland mobile app. It’s very useful for checking wait times, using
Disney Genie+, making dining reservations, mobile ordering, and more. Also, bring a portable mobile charger to keep your phone energized all day!
~ Add
Disney Genie+ to your day once you have entered through the turnstiles (if you didn’t purchase it as part of your tickets already.) In my opinion it is truly worth the value you get, as you will save hours of time using the shorter queues called
Lightning Lanes, especially since you are traveling from so far. There are 19 attractions across the two parks with Lightning Lanes included in Genie+, plus an additional 3 attractions with Individual Lightning Lanes for a la carte purchase. We have been able to use 12-14 Lightning Lanes in a single day and get on attractions within 10 minutes of getting in line!
~ Genie+ comes with complimentary
Disney PhotoPass! This is a great perk as you get unlimited digital downloads from your day. You’ll see photographers at different locations in the parks so you can stop and have your photo taken (and you can search their locations in the app too.) PhotoPass also includes the photos taken on attractions like Space Mountain and Incredicoaster.
~ Bring a reusable water bottle with you, as there are several refilling stations throughout the parks. You can search for the locations in the Disneyland mobile app. Staying hydrated is important!
~ The majority of attractions don't have height requirements so your little Mouseketeers at ages 6 and 8 should be able to get on most rides with you! However, if there are any that you can't experience together, you can consider the
Rider Switch option, which enables one adult Guest to wait with non-riders while the rest of the party enjoys the attraction. Then, they switch so the other adult Guest can go on the attraction without waiting in the regular queue again.
Wishing you a magical trip full of memories to last a lifetime. Have a wonderful vacation!
