Hi, there!
Welcome to planDisney, Amanda. It looks like your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just days away! How very exciting.
Here in Pennsylvania, a very challenging school year is wrapping up, so like your family, my family is about to enjoy a much-needed Disney vacation too. We just can't wait to experience pixie-dusted adventures in and out of the theme parks!
The Walt Disney World Resort has been diligent about updating its
health and safety protocols based on recent trends and guidance. In terms of face coverings, the most current rule states that they are required to be worn by all Guests while riding in Disney buses or on the monorail or Disney Skyliner. Otherwise, face coverings are optional for fully vaccinated Guests in most areas.
Guests who are not fully vaccinated are expected to wear face coverings in all indoor locations, and upon entering and throughout all attractions. My three kids are all under the age of 12, so they're not old enough to be vaccinated and will need to wear face coverings in those situations. Although my husband and I
are fully vaccinated, we'll wear face coverings along with them just to show our support! I plan on packing plenty of face coverings along with some Ziploc bags to store them.
Did you know that complimentary celebration buttons are available for Guests? From birthdays to graduations, the Walt Disney World Resort just loves to celebrate a special occasion. I don't know about you, but I say the end of this school year is cause for celebration! Be sure to stop by Guest Relations in any of the four theme parks to pick up celebration buttons for your kids.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Amanda. I'm wishing you and your family a magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
