Do children turning 3 the day of dining at Chef Mickeys have to pay? Our trip starts 3 days prior, and she’ll still be 2 but we’re wanting to eating breakfast the morning of her birthday. I wasn’t sure if it fell under “no one ages at Disney” or not.

    Hiya Brandy,

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your Chef Mickey's question! First and foremost, a very happy birthday to your little one! What a magical place to celebrate such a special day. Chef Mickey's is one of my girls' favorite character dining experiences. They love the vibrant,  lively atmosphere and seeing Mickey and his pals stop by the table for hugs, photos, and don’t forget those autograph books. I have no doubt your daughter is going to have the best time, and be sure to have your camera ready!

Now, let's jump right into your question. Three is such a fun and magical age at Disney World. It's the age when so much of the magic really comes to life. It is also the age when children are required to have their own theme park ticket, and they begin counting as a child for dining at table-service restaurants like Chef Mickey's.

If your daughter does not already have a profile in My Disney Experience, there's no need to worry. When you check in or when your server comes to your table, they will simply ask her age. Children ages 3 through 9 are charged the children's dining price.

Since you'll be celebrating such a special birthday, don't forget to pick up a complimentary birthday button! You can find one at your Resort Front Desk, Guest Relations, or most merchandise locations throughout the parks. This is so much fun because Cast Members and even other Guests will often wish your birthday princess a happy birthday throughout the day.

Brandy, I hope this helps answer your question. I hope your family has the most magical time celebrating your daughter's birthday. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to stop by and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
