How do children with tickets gain access to the parks if they do not have magic bands or cell phones?

Hey there, Rob! Welcome back to planDisney! Managing the Walt Disney World Theme Parks with little Mickey lovers can be quite the balancing act! As a dad of four, I know this reality all too well.

If you are assigned in your My Disney Experience account as the manager of the children’s plans, then you should be able to create Disney MagicMobile Passes in the My Disney Experience app for each child. You can then use your phone to scan each MagicMobile Pass (including your own) at the Theme Park turnstiles and gain access to the parks. Disney's MagicMobile service is an extremely convenient and efficient option unless you have an independent preschooler like me who insists on scanning his own MagicBand at the entry gate, even though he’s cutting into MY time in the parks.

Additionally, any guest can request physical admission cards. These are similar to a credit card or ID badge in size and can be used to tap into the theme parks and lightning lane entrances. You can request admission cards at the time of booking or in the My Disney Experience app. There is also a ticket window outside of each Theme Park where Guests can have an admission card printed by a Cast Member.

If you’re traveling with teenagers, they may be allowed to enter the Theme Parks without accompaniment depending on their age. Per Walt Disney World requirements, any child age 14 or older may enter the theme parks without an adult. In this case, if they do not have a phone with a MagicMobile pas, make sure they have a physical admission card.

I hope this helps, Rob! If you have more questions while planning, come back and ask us! We’re here to help!
