Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Amber. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
I see that you have a trip coming up, Amber. Are you getting so excited? It's right around the corner, hopefully, your countdown is on.
July is a perfect month for swimming weather and I am glad to know that you are planning some pool time while you are there. I'm assuming you are staying at
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and if that is the case you are going to have a great time. I recently spent some time there just a few weeks ago and I was blown away. The resort itself is so beautiful and there are so many options for food and drinks - it's really a cool place. If you are feeling snacky while you are at the resort, I highly suggest stopping in the
Rix Sports Bar & Grill. I didn't have a reservation when I was there but was able to get right in. My friend and I each had a margarita and we shared the buffalo chicken dip and it was delicious! I can't wait to go back there and try other menu items.
When you are at the pool at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, kids can use goggles with a nose cover while swimming around. However, they will be asked to take them off before entering the slide area. The same applies to the water parks at Walt Disney World. Kids are able to wear them in low-impact zones like the lazy river and quiet pool area. When it comes time for the slides, it will be best to leave this style of goggle at your chair. You can, sometimes, wear the traditional style of goggles on some of the other slides. However, there are a few you can't and for those, the lifeguard will just ask them to remove the goggles and hold them as they go down the slide.
Amber, I wanted to mention to you that currently Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is closed. If you are wanting to visit a water park during your vacation you'll be able to enjoy
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park - which happens to be my personal favorite.
I hope you have a fun time splish-splashin' in the Florida sun, Amber. If you have any other questions about this, or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Enjoy!
