    Can my children strip down to a bathing suit for splash mountain and kali river rapids and then put on regular clothes again after the ride?

    Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids are the perfect way to cool off on a hot Florida afternoon, but it is certainly no fun walking around the parks in wet soggy clothing.  Disney's permissible clothing asks guests to wear shorts and shoes at all times for safety reasons, so having your children wear bathing suits with their shorts should be perfectly acceptable.  

    Instead of having to lug around extra clothing or wet bathing suits all day, I prefer to buy cheap rain ponchos at my local dollar store before leaving home.  The ponchos are inexpensive, easy to carry and keep all of our clothing perfectly dry on these rides. This way I can hold my bag in my lap underneath the poncho without getting any of our valuables wet.  If you decide to use the ponchos, here are a few tips to make sure that your clothing stays dry:
    • hold the poncho closed near your neck to prevent water from running down, this is much easier on Splash Mountain since there is really only one part wear you will really get wet.
    • make sure that you are sitting on the poncho before sitting down, there will definitely be water on the seats
    If you decide to use the bathing suits, I would suggest bringing a Zip Lock bag or other water proof bag to store the wet clothing and immediately pull them out of the bag at your resort.  Those wet bathing suits and clothing can become moldy very quickly in the warm humid Florida weather.
